Nintendo isn’t the only one great at causing mass amounts of nostalgia with each new release. It would seem that Capcom wants to get in on the nostalgia party by pitting a bunch of Resident Evil‘s most recognizable faces against each other in the newly announced Heroes Mode.

Heroes Mode will force the likes of Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, etc. against each other, presumably in a battle to see who can kill the most zombies. Even better, all of the characters appear to be in their old-school attires. Which means Leon isn’t wearing his fluffy coat from Resident Evil 4, and Jill isn’t wearing that embarrassing, skin-tight mind-control suit from Resident Evil 5.

Have a look below.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is scheduled for release March 20, 2012 on Xbox 360 and PS3.

What say you, gamers? Ready to join the fight against the undead once more?
