Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Has Moved Its War To May

We will have to wait a little while longer to enlist into the futuristic war zone that is Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The first-person shooter has been delayed once again, from its previously announced March 6 launch date. It will now be released in North America on May 22, with a European release following two days later (May 24). The game will only be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at that point.

If you’re a PC gamer, then this announcement also has something for you. It’s news that you can celebrate about. Ubisoft‘s previous announcement regarding Ghost Recon Online taking Future Soldier‘s place in that market due to piracy concerns, was just a marketing ploy. However, that version won’t be out until “a later date.”

The following is a quote from Ubisoft IP development director, Adrian Lacey, in reference to this new delay:

Although the game is “feature complete in our multiplayer, singleplayer, and four-player co-op campaign modes,” it was delayed “in order to ensure that all these ingredients are pushed to the highest level and provide a truly unique shooter experience.”

What does this retail move mean for the planned January Ghost Recon Future Soldier Beta? It has also been moved, and is expected to start in April now.
