The biggest name in the NBA right now is LeBron James, he’s the undisputed king of the league and it seems as if everyone wants a piece of him. Currently James is in talks with a number of teams as he’s trying to decide where to play next year. Today, All Hip Hop reports that another king, the king of rap, Jay-Z, made a bid for LeBron to come to the Nets.

Jay-Z along with the Nets billionaire owner Mikhail Prokhorov, and coach Avery Johnson spoke with LeBron James today about coming to play in New Jersey. James became a free agent today and was treated to a 90 minute presentation by Jay-Z, Prokhorov and Johnson.

The Associated Press wrote that:

“Prokhorov left with a few members of the Nets’ entourage at 12:43 p.m. Lagging a few minutes behind them was Jay-Z, a close friend of James, who was sitting in the back seat of a black sedan leaving the garage as the Knicks’ motorcade – 2 sedans and 2 SUVs – pulled in.”

After meeting with James, Johnson went to Chicago to talk to a few other players, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. James, after meeting with the Nets, spoke for 2 hours with the Knicks.

Tomorrow James is set to meet with the Clippers and Heat.
