Max Payne 3 Has Its Aiming, Tactics And Weaponry Dissected

By now, you've most-likely heard that Max Payne 3 has once again been delayed. Its bags are packed for a couple of extra months, with a new May release window having been announced. Sure, it sucks having to wait longer but, the most important thing is to make sure that the game is finished and well-tested before it's released.

By now, you’ve most-likely heard that Max Payne 3 has once again been delayed. Its bags are packed for a couple of extra months, with a new May release window having been announced. Sure, it sucks having to wait longer but, the most important thing is to make sure that the game is finished and well-tested before it’s released.

As a result of the aforementioned release date change, Take-Two Interactive has given fans extra time to pre-order the game’s Special Edition set. Fans can now place their monetary deposits up until April.

Earlier today, Rockstar Games debuted the second part of its Max Payne 3 developer diary series. This one makes the game even harder to wait for, while giving us an in-depth look at the new targeting, weaponry and tactics systems which have been implemented into the sequel.

What’s shown within is pretty impressive, showcasing an effort to make Max, his movement and his aiming mechanics as fluid and seamless as possible. Of course, enemies’ aggressive flanking maneuvers will make things tough, no matter how quick at the draw the titular detective is.
