The CW  is being tight-lipped with pictures from the next episode of The Vampire Diaries, but they have released an extended preview of Bring Out The Dead (episode 313) set to air this Thursday, January 26, 2012.

Last week we saw some outward emotion from everyone’s favorite good boy gone bad, Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley), that wasn’t angsty brooding. After the news broke of Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) porch kiss, he seems genuinely beaten up about it.

Judging by the 30 seconds of preview that the CW has graciously given fans, it doesn’t look like he’s willing to fully indulge in these feelings. His attitude has caused more than a bit of trouble for the residents of Mystic Falls in the last few months and the gang isn’t willing to be puppets in Stefan’s stage play any longer.

Damon has moved up the ranks and taken control of Elena’s safety in more ways than one. It looks like this connection between the two may finally be taking shape. We can only cross our fingers and try not to pass out from holding our breath for the next encounter of the sexy kind between this forbidden love couple.

The parents don’t seem to be fairing to well if the clip fragments are any indicator. Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) mother, Abby Bennett (Persia White) might be returning to her daughter’s life only to sacrifice it for the good of the cause. At the same time, Bill Forbes (Jack Coleman) seems to be down for the count. I wonder if Tyler (Michael Trevino) had anything to do with this mishap?

The preview doesn’t touch on anymore Klaus (Joseph Morgan)/Caroline (Candice Accola) face time, but the CW has already released stills from episode 314 which shows plenty of mysteriously glorious moments between the two.

Check out the extended preview clip of The Vampire Diaries, episode 314, Bring Out The Dead!
