Amidst the exciting news that Arrested Development will return to TV for at least one more season, series co-executive producer and writer Dean Lorey has announced that the entire original cast will also return. Returning cast members will include Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor and the rest of the Bluth family.

Lorey also announced that he has begun writing the new season with series creator Mitch Hurwitz and Jim Vallely, which will begin filming this year and will be released via Netflix sometime in 2013. The plan is that the new season will bridge the gap between the series thus far and the feature film that has been planned for years.

Now that Arrested Development is officially back and running, I’m beyond excited. This revival of one of the best series to ever hit the small screen just goes to show that sometimes the audience can’t be denied. Is anybody else freaking out about how awesome this is?
