New Kinect Star Wars Trailer Is Hilariously Odd

I think it's fair to say that everybody and their parents have spent time flinging around broom sticks and rakes while making the classic Star Wars lightsaber sounds. Or how about that time you shot your sister with a water gun while doing your best imitation of the blasters that make you feel like a real Storm Trooper?

I think it’s fair to say that everybody and their parents have spent time flinging around broom sticks and rakes while making the classic Star Wars lightsaber sounds. Or how about that time you shot your sister with a water gun while doing your best imitation of the blasters that make you feel like a real Storm Trooper?

Whatever your vice was, it’s time to put away the real weapons and pop in Kinect Star Wars, which lets players live out their dreams of being a Jedi Knight while flailing your arms around your living room.

The new trailer released by LucasArts seems to be aimed at Star Wars slobs like me, as some guy (Chris Pratt) who probably works at a video store near you duels Darth Vader to the death. It’s pretty funny, and it definitely raised my interest in the game. However, it doesn’t show any actual gameplay, so it’s really nothing more than a glorified teaser. Look for Kinect Star Wars to take up the rest of your spring when it’s released this April.
