The Avengers Super Bowl Spot

Joss Whedon‘s The Avengers, which stars Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, isn’t too far away. While it once seemed like a dream project that would never happen, it’s now a reality.

After seeing the first trailer a few months ago and a healthy amount of promotional material since then, we now have the official Super Bowl spot. While only a minute long, we do get a bit of new footage.

For me, the most exciting parts of this far too short tease were the quick glimpses of Loki’s army, the solid amount of shots of The Hulk and of course, Tony Stark and Loki’s little encounter at the end. Really though, it was all pretty good and overall, an impressive spot.

After watching it though, I still feel the same about the film. I have no doubt that it’s going to be one hell of a blockbuster and will more than likely provide all the thrills that fans are expecting.

My only hesitation lies in the blending of all the various heroes’ storylines. I’m skeptical as to if they can put everything together seamlessly and make it all flow. We may get great action and it may be a treat to see all these heroes together on screen but will the story make any sense? Will it be engaging?

On May 4th my skepticism will be addressed as The Avengers will hit theatres, are you ready for it?
