John Carter Super Bowl Spot

Aside from The Avengers Super Bowl spot, I think the quick tease for John Carter was the most exciting preview that aired last night. The one minute spot features a sweeping score against some special effect laden battle scenes which are sure to get moviegoers pumped for the film's release.

Aside from The Avengers Super Bowl spot, I think the quick tease for John Carter was the most exciting preview that aired last night. The one minute spot features a sweeping score against some special effect laden battle scenes which are sure to get moviegoers pumped for the film’s release.

Audiences also got another look at Taylor Kitsch, the actor that Disney is resting all of the pressure on, the pressure to make John Carter a success.

With a $250 million budget, the pressure is definitely on. Disney is betting big on this one and considering the nature of the film, a sci-fi epic, the bet is even bigger.

Will John Carter manage to recoup its budget and/or turn a profit? I sure hope so, I’m fully on board with the film at this point and March can’t come soon enough!

Directed by Andrew Stanton, John Carter stars Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins and Willem Dafoe and opens on March 9.
