Insidious Blu-Ray Review
I'll be frank with you, if it wasn't for James Wan and Leigh Whannell, I wouldn't have even checked Insidious out. And honestly, do you blame me? From the outside, it looks like a film to skip. It's a PG-13 horror film that uses a very recycled story concerning a kid who is possessed. It sounded bland, been there done that and something I had no interest in.

The Pirates! Band of Misfits Trailer
To be honest, I hadn't even heard of this film until a couple days ago. It's called The Pirates! Band Of Misfits, although in the UK the subtitle is In an Adventure with Scientists. Aiming for a March 30th, 2012 release date, the film is coming to us from Aardman Animation. In case the name doesn't ring a bell, they're the studio that brought us Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit. They were also responsible for Flushed Away which I really enjoyed.

Another New Blitz Trailer Starring Jason Statham
Another Jason Statham action film? Why yes, of course! The man cranks (no pun intended) out films like none other and his next testosterone fuelled flick will be Blitz. Directed by Elliott Lester and written by Moon scribe Nathan Parker, the film is aiming for an August 23rd release date, on Blu-Ray that is. That's right, it's not even hitting theatres in the U.S., and I'm not sure why.

Will Ferrell And Matthew McConaughey Will Return To Eastbound And Down
The team behind HBO's Eastbound and Down are hoping to end things off with a bang for the third and final season. We already know that they're bringing in comedic heavyweight Jason Sudeikis to assist and now we learn that Will Ferrell and Matthew McConaughey will both return. I say return because they have both already showed up, Ferrell as BMW dealership owner Ashley Schaeffer and McConaughey as gay player scout Roy McDaniel.

First Trailer For Martin Scorsese’s Hugo
My god, it's a fantastic week to be a movie fan. Let's see, we've had a Contagion trailer, a Dark Knight Rises trailer, a great look at both Total Recall and The Amazing Spider-Man, a Sherlock Holmes: Game Of Shadows trailer, Bourne Legacy casting news, a wonderful trailer for John Carter and much more. I seriously feel like it's Christmas. I really didn't think that we'd get anything more but on this fine Thursday evening, we now have the first trailer for Martin Scorsese's Hugo.

Jaume Collet-Serra May Be Next In Line For Akira
Oh Akira, will you ever get made? Warner Bros' live-action adaptation seems to be going nowhere fast. Actors and directors keep attaching themselves to the project only to drop like flies shortly after. Today, Variety tells us that yet another filmmaker is circling the film, Jaume Collet-Serra.

First Look At Colin Farrell In Total Recall
After getting a great look at The Amazing Spider-Man, we now get our first look at Total Recall. The image, seen above, features Colin Farrell as the lead, Douglas Quaid. Quaid is "a factory worker who begins to think he’s a spy, but doesn’t know whether it’s for Euromerica or New Shanghai, one of the two superpower countries in this world."

2011 Emmy Nominations Announced
The 2011 Emmy nominations were announced today. Included are all the usual suspects, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Modern Family, Game Of Thrones etc. No real surprises but there are a couple things I'd like to point out. For one, I'm very happy to see Game Of Thrones sneaking onto the list for Best Drama Series. I didn't love the show at first but it did grow on me and by the end I was completely hooked.

Glee: The 3D Concert Movie Trailer
The first trailer for Glee: The 3D Concert Movie has been released today. Hitting theatres on August 12th, the film is a 3D version of the recent Glee concert tour aka a money grab. Fans will undoubtedly love it but unless you enjoy the show, I can't see any reason to go out and see this.
