Will Ryan Murphy Direct The Annie Remake?
Reports coming in today tell us that Glee and more importantly Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy is the studio's first choice to direct the upcoming Annie remake that will star Willow Smith. Sony is apparently trying to sign Murphy onto the project but it's far from confirmed and still in the early stages.

New Hop Trailer Released
A new trailer for the upcoming film Hop was released today. James Marsden and Russell Brand star in this live-action/animated film that revolves around a rabbit, and not just any rabbit. This particular rabbit is the Easter bunny. The plot tells the story of James Marsden's character, Fred, who accidentally hits the Easter bunny while driving. The Easter bunny fakes an injury and Fred takes him home. As the two struggle to live together, Fred has to learn how to get along with his new housemate quickly as it's up to him to save Easter. Tim Hill (Alvin and the Chipmunks) will direct the film and it will hit theatres on April 1st.

New Duke Nukem Forever Screens
Today Gearbox has released a number of new screens for Duke Nukem Forever. They look awesome, to say the least and with that May 3rd release date coming up shortly, my excitement is only growing. I think everyone has high hopes for this one, and despite the development hell, I think it is going to deliver. Duke fans will most likely be please with the final product. Ray Blu-Ray Review
Universal follows up their Blu-Ray release of A Beautiful Mind with yet another one of their great titles, Ray. Taylor Hackford's 2004 biopic on the famed musician Ray Charles is one of my favorite films. Awarded with two Academy Awards, including a Best Actor statue for Jamie Foxx, the film is one that desperately needed a Blu-Ray release. Being a film that would benefit greatly from a nice high-def transfer, fans had high hopes that this one would deliver. Does it? Read on to find out.

Christian Bale To Star In Brad Anderson’s Concrete Island
While talking to director Brad Anderson about his upcoming film Vanishing On 7th Street, I got a chance to ask him about his upcoming projects. One project he revealed was Concrete Island, which intrigues me for two reasons. The first, is that he'll be teaming up with Scott Kosar. Kosar was the writer on Anderson's film The Machinist. The second reason this project has me intrigued is because Christian Bale is set to star. So essentially, The Machinist team is getting back together for Anderson's Concrete Island, which is based on the J.G. Ballard novel of the same name. As for the plot, it goes something like this:

Brendan Gleeson Joins Denzel Washington In Safe House
Safe House is a film that is shaping up awfully nice. Starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington, the film has just added to their cast. Joining the film are a few notable actors including Liam Cunningham, Brendan Gleeson, Robert Patrick and Sam Shepard. Daniel Espinosa will be directing off a David Guggenheim script. The plot will revolve around Reynolds and Washington. Reynolds is a government agent, who after surviving an attack on one safe house, has to move his high profile criminal, Washington, to another one. Of course, it's easier said than done and it's not exactly an easy trip. It sure sounds good to me.

Dragon Age 2 Champion Trailer
Today we have a new trailer for EA's upcoming game Dragon Age 2. The video shows off the different classes in the game (mage, rouge or warrior). It's a short video but it gives us a good look at the three classes and the benefits of each. Definitely going to be a hard choice when choosing which class to play as.

Trust Trailer, Starring Clive Owen And Catherine Keener
Today we get a new trailer for the new film from director David Schwimmer aka Ross from Friends. The film is called Trust and stars Clive Owen and Catherine Keener. The film premiered at TIFF last year and earned mixed reviews. Despite that, I'm still looking forward to this one. It has a solid cast and I'll watch anything with Clive Owen in it.
