Advice to anyone who may be interviewing Quentin Tarantino about Django Unchained: Ask him about slavery, NOT VIOLENCE. It seems like discussing the violence in his movies, especially in the wake of the incredibly violent Django Unchained, would be a logical thing to do considering the tumultuous state of the media industry in relation to the violent mass-murders in the last year. However, Tarantino made it very clear to one reporter that he has said his part about violence, and he's done talking about it.
Ellen Page has been keeping things relatively low key since her role in Christopher Nolan's 2010 blockbuster Inception, but she has been quietly getting involved with some smaller films recently, including two that will play at Sundance next week, Touchy Feely and The East. Last summer Warner Bros. bought a script by Vera Blasi titled Pontius Pilate, about the man who ultimately let Jesus Christ be put to death, despite his mixed feelings about the matter. Not much has been said about the project since it was bought, but now Brad Pitt is reported to be interested in the titular role.
The consensus among the majority of fans of the Caped Crusader is that the Tim Burton Batman films were great and as for the Joel Schumacher ones, well not so much. However, Michael Keaton says that the direction the franchise went was not at all what he wanted. Instead of the more glamorous Batman in Batman Forever, Keaton wanted the third film to be Batman's origin, similar to Batman Begins.
Back in November Guillermo del Toro said that he wasn't considering directing Star Wars: Episode VII, but that didn't keep some fans from hoping that his name would be the one ultimately announced by Disney. Well, it's now official that del Toro will not be at the helm of Episode VII as he says Disney contacted him about the role and he politely declined.
