After a short absence (for medical reasons and not court-ordered community service), we're back just in time for your last minute holiday shopping needs. Unsurprisingly, The Dark Knight Rises and The Dark Knight Trilogy are still at the top of the Blu-Ray sales charts. If, for some mind-blowing reason that I can't even begin to fathom, you're undecided about adding the former to your Blu-Ray collection, you can check out our The Dark Knight Rises Blu-Ray review.
Welcome to December and the official start of holiday shopping madness. Last week's featured Blu-Ray, Men In Black 3, is still making a showing on the Blu-Ray sales charts. If the promise of Josh Brolin impersonating Tommy Lee Jones didn't make you run out to buy it, then check out our Blu-Ray review of the film. Brave is still going strong, and I predict it'll have enough salespower to stay at the top of the charts until after the holidays.
Oscar-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld, who turns sixteen in two weeks, is keeping herself busy. She's already set to star in several upcoming films, including the much-anticipated Ender's Game, and now Deadline reports that she's been cast opposite Kevin Costner in McG's upcoming untitled action thriller.
Earlier this month, we reported that the pilot for Marvel Studios' upcoming S.H.I.E.L.D. television series could begin shooting as early January. If that's the case, then it looks like it's right on track, as TVLine reports that Killing Lincoln's Brett Dalton has joined the cast.
Many of us were surprised after seeing the trailer for Marvel Studios' Iron Man 3, mostly because it seemed that the film would be so much darker and serious than previous entries in the franchise. In a recent interview with The West Australian, the film's star Robert Downey Jr., its director Shane Black, and Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige weighed in on the tonal shift and said that it won't dominate the film.
I finally watched Brave and now I fully understand why it's doing so well on the Blu-Ray sales charts. Instead of trying to convince you to add it to your collection, I'll just point you in the direction of our Brave Blu-Ray review. Last week's featured Blu-Ray, The Expendables 2, isn't doing so well even though I thought it was a boatload of eighties action awesomeness. Our own review was posted in our Blu-Ray reviews section yesterday for your reading pleasure.
Sexy film icon Brad Pitt's latest feature, Killing Them Softly, doesn't get a wide release until later next week, but the film has already garnered positive reviews that highlight his performance (like our own Killing Them Softly review). To get moviegoers even more excited for the film, n new trailer debuted online yesterday via IGN and you can check it out for yourself below.
After four successful entries in their popular Paranormal Activity horror franchise, Paramount Pictures has officially set a release date for the series' fifth installment, unsurprisingly entitled Paranormal Activity 5.
It should come as no surprise that last week's featured Blu-Ray release Brave has made a significant showing in the sales charts, while The Watch and Savages are having a tough time competing in the home release arena. If you're still on the fence about adding the latter two to your Blu-Ray collection, be sure to head on over to our Blu-Ray Reviews section where our own Jeremy Lebens has covered both releases.
Tina Fey has a pretty impressive resume, but we haven't seen her in a feature film since she played bored suburban wife Claire Foster in 2010's Date Night. Now, she's making her return to the big screen in Focus Features' dramatic comedy Admission, and we have our hands on the film's first trailer.
