Humanity needs war it seems. Day after day, the news is filled with reports about ongoing conflicts, which seem to get even more brutal as the years go on. Sometimes it's a necessary evil, which makes the fight a bit easier to live with. Other times, no good seems to go into or come out of a battle. As gamers, we wish for the safety of our countrymen fighting abroad, playing simulations of what they're going through in real-life. Most of the time, these games are in the form of first-person shooters, taking place on a realistic or fictional battlefield. The latest one to add its name to this lengthy list is Bodycount from Codemasters. Is it worth your hard earned cash and virtual bullets? Let's discuss that.
Beware no more, downtrodden! Your hero is once again on a quest to solve your quirky problems in The Baconing, the third game in the Deathspank series. Unfortunately a lot of your issues may stem from the hero himself, having unknowingly unleashed a villainous version of himself out of pure stupidity and laziness. Don't worry though; something will be done about it soon, using grand questing fashion. It just may take a little while longer than expected, considering there are so many 'stoopid' chickens to take care of.
Take a buddy cop drama, throw in a couple of ounces of revenge and then stir it all up with a hint of surreality and you'll have DRIVER San Francisco. The latest release from Ubisoft, developed in-house at its Reflections studio, is a game that shakes up the racing genre quite a bit. Instead of being limited to one car, Detective John Tanner is able to become the eye over the city, after a severe car accident puts him into a coma. What this new dream state brings about is the game's star shifting mechanic, which lets players jump from vehicle to vehicle, adding a game changing mechanic into a genre which needed a bit of a boost. It's a fun new addition which really amps up the chaos, bringing with it some new ways to complete traditional driving game objectives.

It promises to deliver over-the-top stylish action with a dose of bloodshed.
Ever since its engine was first unveiled, id Software's upcoming wasteland shooter, RAGE, has been one of my most anticipated titles. Getting a chance to sit down and demo it for a little while at Microsoft's X'11 Preview Event was like a gamer's dream come true. My inner gamer, that is. Luckily, it was one of the playable demos on the floor, whereas The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was not.
