I've been playing a lot of Apex Legends lately and it lives up to the hype. The setting is interesting, the characters are cool, the weapons have some wallop behind them and the movement (especially the sliding down hills) is precisely as fun as you'd expect from the developers who made the Titanfall games. But there's one innovative feature that's become a little buried in the hype, and I reckon it's what's going to ensure that this game has legs: the Smart Comms system.

Danai Gurira Officially Leaving The Walking Dead In Season 10
Earlier this week we reported that Danai Gurira's contract negotiations with AMC might be breaking down. Since joining The Walking Dead in the third season, Gurira's star has begun to dramatically rise, with her appearance as Okoye in last year's Black Panther cementing her as an actor to watch. Now it seems like she's outgrown the show that's made her name, as The Hollywood Reporter has announced that she's officially exiting as of Season 10.

Hasbro Officially In Talks With Paramount To Produce New Power Rangers Movie
Lionsgate and Paramount had high hopes for 2017's Power Rangers. With their eyes on the success of Transformers, the film was intended to be the springboard to a new cinematic universe, with Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer saying that the studio had worked out a six-movie plot arc. But things didn't work out as they'd planned. The film landed with a thud at the box office, grossing just $85m against a $100m budget (the film eventually squeaked into small profitably after the international release). Now it seems that Hasbro are eager for another bite at the apple - and this time they're working with Paramount.

Why That Leaked Star Wars: Episode IX Title Is Probably Fake
It's looking like we'll learn the official title for Star Wars: Episode IX later this week, with C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels teasing that something very big is coming our way soon. However now that the news is impending, there's a whole bunch of fake leaks online that are purporting to be the 'true' title. Right now the most popular is 'Balance of the Force'. I've got to admit, it sounds pretty damn Star-Warsy. After all, Anakin Skywalker was said to be destined to "bring balance to the Force" and as this is the end of the Skywalker saga it might make sense for the prophecy to be fulfilled.

Disney Confirms That The Future Of The Alien And Predator Franchises Is R-Rated
Disney's impending merger with Fox will result in them owning an enormous chunk of the cultural landscape. The biggest prize is, of course, the X-Men and Fantastic Four rights, which will mean the characters can be incorporated into the MCU and bring Disney very close to their dream of owning the IP to the entire Marvel Universe. But there's a couple of other big franchises whose ownership by the Mouse House might spell choppy waters ahead. I'm talking about the often intertwined Alien and Predator properties.

Chris Pratt Addresses The Rumors That He’ll Be The New Indiana Jones
Indiana Jones 5 is still on the slate for a summer 2021 release, with production beginning as soon as Steven Spielberg's done with his upcoming remake of West Side Story. However, given that Harrison Ford will be pushing 80 by then, many have theorized that the structure of the film will be split between the elderly Jones and flashbacks to his younger self. Ever since that theory took hold, there's been just one name consistently mentioned for the role: Chris Pratt.
