Displaying the intelligence, reserve and self-awareness for which they're famed, Star Wars nerds on the internet have launched a petition to get Rotten Tomatoes shut down for - get this - liking Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The crux of their position is that the film's audience score is at such odds with its critical score, that it proves that the whole freakin' system is out of order and should be stopped right now.

I enjoyed Star Wars: The Last Jedi even more than I'd expected to, and one of my favorite sequences was the 'siege' on Crait. It felt classically swashbuckling, with the heroes cornered with their backs against the wall and the villains advancing upon them with all their might. If you recall, the most threatening weapon in this sequence was what looked like a miniaturized Death Star laser, acting as some kind of bunker buster technology.

Ant-Man And The Wasp Director Explains How The Film Ties Into Captain America: Civil War
It took me a while to get over Edgar Wright being kicked off Ant-Man, but when I finally saw the finished movie I had to admit that Peyton Reed did a pretty good job. So, while it's not exactly top of my list of films to see in 2018, I'm still paying close attention to what's happening in Ant-Man and the Wasp. With Avengers: Infinity War releasing just a couple of months prior, the pic is being overshadowed a bit in terms of hype, but now things sound as if they're finally gearing up.

Venom Producer Says Tom Hardy’s Performance Is Something Special
The more I hear about Ruben Fleischer's Venom, the more excited I get. When I was a kid in the 90s, I loved the character - who back then felt like a way cooler and grosser version of Spider-Man. My fandom has cooled off a lot since then (re-reading some of those 90s comics is painful), but I still think the anti-hero has a ton of potential. So, when I heard that Tom Hardy was going to play Eddie Brock/Venom in a film, I was over the moon.
