It’s without question that the Rebirth era has given us some exceptionally good comics to read, whether it be Superman, Green Arrow or Harley Quinn. So, one would logically think that a title such as Justice League Vol. 1: The Extinction Machines would be a grand slam, right? Well, unfortunately, the colossal stature of the book’s antagonists is rivaled only by how much of a disappointment this tome ended up being.

You know, reconnecting with their loved ones and taking down supervillains on a weekly basis. But before long, these two will once again have to join forces against none other than the Music Meister.

The Superman family of titles have certainly been on a hot streak since Rebirth kicked off last summer as each have not only provided a fantastic read, but also charted new territory for the Man of Steel and his various supporting characters. One such ongoing that has caught many by surprise is that of Superwoman.
Although Disney is the parent company of Marvel and the House of Ideas has certainly had the market cornered when it comes to Star Wars comics in recent memory, it’s important that we not forget about the classic characters that IDW continues to spotlight with Disney Comics.
Next month, DC commences the second phase of its Rebirth initiative as it rolls out new titles such as Justice League of America, Batwoman and, last but not least, Super Sons, which is the focus of our current discussion. Uniting Damian Wayne and Jon Kent, the current versions of Robin and Superboy, respectively, we trust this book will offer much action and excitement, with a hearty helping of youthful exuberance.
While we wait for next season's major DC TV crossover - which will hopefully see Kevin Smith firmly seated in a director's chair - it's time we prepare for something a little smaller and more whimsical. As we previously reported, a musical crossover is soon set to occur involving The Flash and Supergirl, with Music Meister serving as the villain.
If you were to stop anyone on the street and ask them to name a handful of Batman villains, one of their responses would undoubtedly be that of the Riddler. Since his since his inception in 1948, he has served as one of the Dark Knight's greatest intellectual foils and, more recently, has been brought to life thanks to some truly memorable performances delivered by Cory Michael Smith on Gotham.
