Prison Break originally aired over a decade ago. That alone makes it ripe for the revival treatment like every other series that was once successful. But we're still months away from witnessing Michael Schofield and co. try to break in and out of yet another penitentiary in season 5.
Like the MCU, the DC Extended Universe is plotted out years in advance. As we've witnessed with the former studio, those tentative titles are often switched around and even deleted from the schedule. (I'm talking about you, Inhumans.) The same applies to Warner Bros' roster of DC films, that's currently working against a tide of negative responses this year aimed at Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. But let's not dwell on that, as we've got Shazam to look forward to! Yes, it's still happening.
Hot on the heels of that uber-metal new logo unleashed yesterday, Justice League director Zack Snyder continues to show off the headbangin' side of his DC film. Word from The Flash actor Ezra Miller already suggested that the Batman v Superman follow-up wouldn't be hindered by the lacklustre response to Suicide Squad; but no-one was expecting a swerve into Metallica territory. Take a peek at this new snap of Jason Momoa below:
Will Smith's given us plenty of updates on the proposed third Bad Boys movie over the years. The most recent came in February when the actor told BBC Radio that he'd recently met with his co-star Martin Lawrence to bat around the possibility of popping out another adventure for Lowery and Burnett. Apparently, all it took was a hug for them to agree on Bad Boys 3.
If the title hadn't already given it away, DC's Aquaman will focus on its titular hero whose life experience is mainly based.... underwater. While animated movies like Finding Nemo have established the possibility of crafting realistic environments beneath the water, it's a different matter when it comes to live-action. It can either be a groundbreaking work or a hideous flop. For the Jason Momoa-led flick, one of the biggest queries is answered by director James Wan in a new interview.
Hugh Jackman's spent a large portion of his acting career playing the adamantium-clawed X-Man known as Wolverine. 16 years in fact, as he first came to prominence in that very role in 2000's X-Men. While that's a decent amount of time for a person to you know, age, this latest image from the Aussie actor's Instagram has some folks all in a flutter. He looks really old:
Will the Gambit movie ever materialise? The solo outing for the ragin' Cajun is another Fox-owned Marvel project that's been on the cards for years. It's gained and lost directors. It's gained and lost its leading man. To be honest, the film's lengthy development history is just too lengthy to fully explore here but here's the skinny as of now: Channing Tatum remains attached to star and Doug Liman is still in line to direct.
The season 6 finale of The Walking Dead left audiences holding their breath as a result of the show's most daring cliffhanger yet. One of Rick's survivors is beaten to death by the series' latest bad egg Negan, and we won't know who got Lucilled until this fall. Fans reacted in a number of ways. For the majority, the show's decision to let us wait seven months to discover the identity of said victim was frustrating as hell.
Earlier this year Deadpool made all the money. Audiences lapped up the antics of a foul-mouthed antihero fond of violent behavior in a movie that revelled in poking fun at the entire superhero movie genre - itself included. At the time - and still now - it's a rare feat for an R-rated comic book flick in that vein to achieve a healthy box office and critical praise. Not so rare, however, that we won't see that type of wink-at-the-audience cheekiness ever again.
A month or so back came the news that Lex Luthor's less nefarious sibling would be making an entrance into Supergirl. The question was of course, when would the actor be unveiled? Well, now we know who is tackling the part as TV Line reports that Merlin's Katie McGrath has signed up for the recurring role.
