When a movie does as well at the box office as Wanted did ($341 million on a $75 million budget), a sequel is usually assured, but it's been a long six years since that action-thriller hit theaters, and the lack of news about Wanted 2 led many to believe that the project had been laid to rest. However, according to producer Marc Platt, the sequel is still very much in the works and has a screenplay that is already "far along."
30 Rock creator Tina Fey's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, a comedy set to star The Office's Ellie Kemper, is moving from NBC to Netflix, where it has been pre-emptively renewed for a second season.
Earlier this month, we learned that Django Unchained actor Christoph Waltz had landed a role in the still-untitled Bond 24. At that time, it was anyone's guess which character the Oscar winner would be playing, but many of us assumed, based on sources that said his character was "extremely cunning," that he was locked in for the part of the film's lead antagonist. Now, the Daily Mail has dropped a major bombshell, claiming that Waltz is playing none other than Bond's most feared adversary: the dastardly Ernst Stavro Blofeld.

Well, that was unexpected. For weeks now, we've been hearing a lot about Aaron Sorkin's planned film about Apple founder Steve Jobs, from word that Michael Fassbender was being eyed to take the lead role to Sorkin's comments that the movie is not a biopic in the traditional sense. But now, Sony has taken the unusual step of dropping the project and putting it into turnaround.
Although both movies drew highly negative reviews, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and G.I. Joe: Retaliation both made over $300 million apiece for Paramount, making a third installment of the action-adventure franchise all but inevitable. We learned way back in July that Lethal Weapon 4 scribe Jonathan Lemkin had been tasked with scripting G.I. Joe 3, and that Jon M. Chu would not be returning to direct, but outside of that, it's been radio silence on the threequel. Now, however, there are whispers around the interwebs that Paramount has singled out a replacement for Chu: Casino Royale director Martin Campbell.
