The currently untitled Bourne 5 was already going to be a series reunion of sorts, with star Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass both returning after having been absent for 2012's The Bourne Legacy, and now another familiar face has been confirmed. Julia Stiles, who played Nicky Parsons in the first three Bourne movies, has just signed on to reprise her role in Universal's "Untitled Next Bourne Chapter."
At this rate, director David Ayer may have trouble following through on his promise to still deliver some surprises in theaters when Suicide Squad arrives next year. A new rumor from scoopster extraordinaire Umberto Gonzalez, now installed at Heroic Hollywood, claims to have unveiled the identities of two mystery characters in the hotly anticipated DC Comics/Warner Bros. blockbuster, who are being played by the likes of Common and Scott Eastwood. Potential spoilers are ahead, so don't say I didn't warn you.
It's the end of the world as we know it, and the politicians are as useless as you'd expect. In HBO's broad yet biting geopolitical satire The Brink, a military coup in Pakistan sends Secretary of State Walter Larson (Tim Robbins) and the rest of the President's war room into crisis mode, but even the prospect of nuclear armageddon isn't enough to stop them from lobbing crude insults across the table like verbal hand-grenades.
Heist thrillers are a dime a dozen, but American Heist sets itself apart with a pretty terrific cast. Golden Globe nominee Hayden Christensen (Star Wars), Oscar winner Adrien Brody (The Pianist) and Fast & Furious actress Jordana Brewster lead the pic, which also stars Akon, Tory Kittles and Rachel Bilson. Today, We Got This Covered is pleased to unveil an exclusive clip from the movie, which unfolds as the titular heist gets a little bit trickier due to an unexpected complication.
Will Ferrell is not in my good books lately, thanks to his horrifically racist, homophobic and misogynist "comedy" Get Hard, but some of the comedian's more die-hard fans may be willing to give him another chance this Christmas when he stars in Daddy's Home, especially given that the pic will reteam him with Other Guys co-lead Mark Wahlberg.
AMC's upcoming Walking Dead spinoff series Fear the Walking Dead unfolds during the first days of the zombie apocalypse, which suggests a much more adrenaline-pounding, race-against-time vibe than the flagship show, which is more grim and meditative. Today, the first teaser trailer for the August premiere is in keeping with that notion, following one very scared guy (Frank Dillane) as he flees an unknown danger (presumably of the undead variety, but possibly something more mundane).
As brilliant and bold as Better Call Saul has proven itself to be in its freshman run, there's no escaping that the prequel series will always live in the shadow of its predecessor Breaking Bad. Luckily, show creator Vince Gilligan is completely fine with that and even plans to honor the Emmy-winning drama, widely considered to be one of the greatest shows of all time, by featuring Bryan Cranston's Walter White in the prequel at some point down the line.
You can't blame Hollywood for being hot on Vin Diesel right now - the actor is a killer box-office draw whose last two films, Furious 7 and Guardians of the Galaxy, were box office smashes. Just recently, Lionsgate made moves to secure Diesel for a new franchise that will kick off with this fall's The Last Witch Hunter, and now Universal is doubling down on the star as well, recruiting scribe Philip Gawthorne to pen an adaptation of the TV series Kojak for Diesel to star in.
Paul Feig's all-female Ghostbusters reboot is rolling cameras in Boston this week, with the Massachusetts capital standing in for New York City, and some individuals peeking in on the shoot have taken to Twitter to give us our first look at the lead characters played by Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy.
After galvanizing fans to action with a series of tweets a couple of weeks ago, actor Ron Perlman has backtracked a little in his attempts to push forward with Hellboy 3. Though Perlman has made no secret of his desire to again play the endearingly foul-mouthed, cigar-chomping hell-spawn affectionately known as Big Red (and neither have we), the actor is now clarifying that making the movie is his, director Guillermo del Toro's and the studio's responsibility - not the fans'.
