Well, this is interesting and unexpected. We've heard that The CW has tentative plans for future series to spin off of Arrow and The Flash, but their latest plan is so exciting and out of left field that it feels almost too good to be true.
CBS' upcoming Supergirl series has just gained a few exciting additions, both behind and in front of the camera. According to THR, Arrow and The Flash producer Andrew Kreisberg has come aboard the series to help Greg Berlanti (also of The Flash and Arrow fame) and Chuck's Ali Adler with producing duties. On top of that, Supergirl has cast Chyler Leigh and David Harewood in regular roles.

Universal has made a two-year deal with comic book writers Matt Fraction and Kelly Sue DeConnic to adapt comic book properties for the small screen, and the duo have already set their sights on their first endeavor. According to Deadline, they'll adapt Fraction and artist Chip Zdarsky's acclaimed Image Comics series, Sex Criminals.
We've long heard that The LEGO Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller would likely not return to helm the follow-up, and now it's been made official. Luckily, the dynamic duo have found a talented replacement, in the form of Community, Parks and Recreation and The Mindy Project director Rob Schrab.

Despite being named after the city, Gotham has curiously avoided telling stories about the titular metropolitan area itself or its citizens. Instead, the show has taken several nose dives into the deeper waters of Batman mythology (for better or for worse), which in turn leaves much to be desired in terms of world building. While Gotham may introduce characters and concepts that will someday be important (in a series we'll never get to see), it does very little to flesh out its own world or timeline.
Earlier this week, news broke that Hostel and Gang Related alum Jay Hernandez was circling a mystery role in David Ayer's Suicide Squad adaptation. Now, it appears that Hernandez's character has been revealed, and that he'll have one of several DC Comics character cameos in the film.
