X-Men: Apocalypse To Highlight Magneto/Mystique Romance?

Despite not being romantically linked in the comics, the X-Men films, specifically First Class and this year's Days of Future Past, have included some "will they or won't they" tension between main antagonist Magneto and his shape-shifting right-hand-lady, Mystique. That dynamic will apparently continue to blossom, and may in fact take center stage when the mutants return for another big screen outing in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse.

First Look At Katie Cassidy As Arrow’s New Black Canary

Since the pilot episode, it's been teased that Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) would eventually become the vigilante and Green Arrow love interest Black Canary on Arrow. Her sister Sara, played by Caity Lotz, debuted in season two as a former League of Assassins member who appeared in Starling City as a vigilante called "The Canary." However, sticking with comic book lore, Sara met the sharp end of a few arrows in the season three premiere and fell to hear death, leaving room for Laurel's ascension from simple assistant district attorney to full-fledged vigilante.

The Graysons May Be Flying Their Way To Gotham This Season

We've seen quite a few future Batman baddies make their way to Gotham so far this season, from mob-based foes like Carmine Falcone, Sal Maroni, and Oswald Cobblepot, to the more street-level villains like Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Victor Zsasz, Hush, and even an early iteration of Black Mask. More are on the way, of course, including Harvey Dent, Scarecrow, and Mr. Freeze. What the show lacks so far, however, are glimpses at future Batman allies, which may be about to change.

Is Sony Planning An Aunt May Spider-Man Spinoff?

If you thought that Sony's plans for the flailing Amazing Spider-Man franchise were crazy before, I suggest you buckle up because this new development is quite a doozy. We know that Sony is still reeling from the disappointment that was The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and that the studio's plans for the future of the series are uncertain. The planned Sinister Six and Venom spin-offs are spinning their wheels, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 has been delayed until an unspecified date in 2018, there's been talk of doing a "soft reboot" of the character through Sinister Six (if that movie even happens), there's talk of bringing Gwen Stacy back, and the proposed female-led spin-off film, dubbed Glass Ceiling, is a head-scratcher.

Gotham Review: “The Mask” (Season 1, Episode 8)

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Gotham shines most when diving headfirst into compelling mobster-driven stories, and while we got a taste of that with this week's episode, "The Mask," things don't quite work as well as they did last week. Instead, the mob stuff is juxtaposed against another "villain of the week" subplot, which in turn feels like someone took Fight Club and injected it with a healthy dose of The Wolf of Wall Street. Which, in turn, was entertaining, but offered little to the larger narrative arcs or character development.
