Every single fan of NBC's The Office is still wondering who will become the new manager of Dunder Mifflin come fall. News is coming to us today from Entertainment Weekly who, if correct, may finally have our answer.
Deadline has given word that they are in the works with ABC to give family drama Brothers & Sisters an abbreviated final sixth season. The show was on the bubble during last season's fourth year and was given an 18-episode order.
It was announced by TVbytheNumbers that the CW has given early renewals to The Vampire Diaries, 90210, Gossip Girl, Supernatural, and America's Next Top Model. The network hasn't given any indications yet on "bubble" shows Nikita, One Tree Hill, and Hellcats.
The main thing holding back One Tree Hill for a ninth season is the contract negotiations with star James Lafferty. While the show is well past its prime, it still is a consistent player for the network. However, if Lafferty leaves, the show will definitely be at a loss losing its big male lead.
Deadline has reported that The Town star Jeremy Renner has been offered the lead role in the new Bourne film, The Bourne Legacy. Despite earlier reports that Joel Edgerton may snag the prize, it is now confirmed that Universal has decided to go with Renner. The actor had been in serious talks a few weeks back but it wasn't final until now.
It has been confirmed that Alan Cumming has re-upped his contract on The Good Wife for three more seasons with the condition that the series gets renewed first. CBS has not announced yet if the show will get a third season pickup, but the show remains on the bubble averaging around a 2.0 in the 18-49 demo and 10.5 million viewers.
