As you probably know, the hit HBO show Game of Thrones made an appearance at this year's Comic-Con to promote the upcoming season of the show. The panel was attended by author George R.R. Martin, showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Beniof, as well as select members of the cast, including Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Rose Leslie (Ygritte), Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark) and Richard Madden (Robb Stark).
As most of you are probably aware, Jonathan Liebesman's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot has been filming for a while now. We've seen little bits and pieces of the film, including video of the cast and crew filming, as well as photos taken on set.
The nominations for the 2013 Primetime Emmys were announced this morning without that many surprises to be found. In fact, as you look down the list, you'll see several of the usual suspects that we've come to expect.
As Season Four of HBO's hit show Game of Thrones continues production, we're getting more and more information on the upcoming episodes. Today, via Comic Book Movie and EW, we've been given a full list of Season Four directors that reads as follows:
One of the most anticipated films coming up for this awards season is Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave. Up until now, we had heard a lot about it and had seen several images, but had yet to see an actual trailer for the film. Well, today that's finally changed as the first full-length trailer has finally dropped giving us a good long look at one of the contenders that could be picking up some Oscar gold next year.
It seemed pretty much inevitable. Someone, at some point in time, would want to remake Sam Raimi’s classic cult horror film The Evil Dead, and it would be allowed to happen whether the fans wanted it to or not. When it was first announced, I had some hope that such a remake (or reimagining, or whatever you want to call it) would be a neat companion piece to the original, hopes that only increased upon hearing that it was being produced by Raimi, Robert Tapert (producer of the original), and Bruce Campbell. With their blessing, what could possibly go wrong? As it turns out, some very important things could.
Here's a bit of news that's a little hard to swallow. According to Zachary Quinto, who has been playing Spock in the last two Star Trek films, the next entry in the franchise could be filming as early as next year.
It's been a long road to get to this point, but after two and a half years of filming, Martin Freeman has finally finished all of his scenes for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit trilogy. As you may recall from the outstanding behind the scenes production blogs, the original plan was to make two films and film them in three blocks, but when Jackson determined that he wanted to make a third film, it was decided that the cast and crew would return this summer to finish shooting.
Awards season is still a few months away, but that hasn't stopped the studios from churning out trailers for their potential players very early on. We've already seen trailers for The Wolf of Wall Street, Captain Phillips, and just today, we saw the first trailer for Saving Mr. Banks.
This may not seem like particularly big news to some, but for your average Game of Thrones fan, it's huge. According to a tweet from behind-the-scenes HBO writer Cat Grant, filming began on Monday for Season Four of the smash hit show.
