In an alliance few saw coming, Billy Crystal has seen his new pilot, The Comedians, get a 13 episode order from FX. Production will begin later this year and the series will launch in 2015. This will mark Crystal's first excursion into the TV universe in over 30 years, as he was last seen on the small screen in the 1977-81 ABC comedy Soap.
Michael Peña, fresh off roles in the upcoming Cesar Chavez and last year's critical darling American Hustle, has confirmed his potential involvement in the Edgar Wright-directed Marvel adaptation of Ant-Man. Alison Brie, best known as Community's Annie Edison and for her recurring role on AMC's Mad Men, has signed on to star alongside Will Ferrell and the rapidly ascending Kevin Hart in the upcoming Warner Brothers film Get Hard. The actress is set to play the fiancee of Ferrell's character and should prove a capable foil if she is allowed to be more than just a straight woman to the usual Ferrell tomfoolery.
Shailene Woodley is certainly doing her part to make sure the upcoming film adaptation of the wildly popular young adult novel Divergent hits all of its marks, going so far as to put herself in harm's way by standing on a ledge. Director Neil Burger gushed to Entertainment Weekly about how the actress was "incredibly game and so adventurous," saying:
''She really did stand on that ledge. She's incredibly game and so adventurous. In a way, she's very Dauntless.''
