Snowpiercer Cuts May Be Too Deep For Director Bong Joon-ho
It seems Snowpiercer star Chris Evans may not be the only one who is not terribly happy about Harvey Weinstein's planned cuts to director Bong Joon-Ho's newest film. Bong himself is reportedly not as cool with the prospect of having his cinematic vision slaughtered as he initially let on. Variety is reporting that sources close to Bong are describing him as "furious" about Weinstein's planned edits.

Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter Campaign Finishes At Over $4 Million
Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune has traded in on the nostalgia of every generation of gamers since the days of the original Nintendo Entertainment System by finishing the Kickstarter campaign for his upcoming game Mighty No. 9 with a grand total of $4,046,579 in funds raised. As a result of the successful campaign, which cleared all its fundraising goals and then some, Mighty No. 9 will appear on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, 3DS, Wii U, PC, Mac, and Linux. So basically, you've got some options.

The Interview Adds Lizzy Caplan To Its Cast
The Interview, the next film from the This Is the End directorial team of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, can now count Lizzy Caplan among its cast. Known primarily for her roles in the TV shows Party Down, True Blood, and Showtime's new Masters of Sex, Caplan also worked alongside Rogen in the much-beloved and prematurely canceled Freaks & Geeks as a girlfriend of the character Nick, played by the also-now-pretty-famous Jason Segel. She's no stranger to the cinema, either, having been in such diverse movies as Cloverfield, Mean Girls, and the 2012 film Bachelorette. Now she will titillate comedy fans as a "hot, cleavage-showing CIA agent" in The Interview, thus assuaging any fears that it might not be a complete brodown like This Is the End or the Rogen- and Goldberg-penned Superbad.

Fantastic Four Reboot Will Be Rewritten (Again)
Well, it's happening again. Twentieth Century Fox's Fantastic Four reboot is being rewritten. Popular wisdom is that the more times a script is rewritten, the less likely it is to be any good. Let's hope that's not the case this time, because this one has passed through a whole lot of hands so far. Writers such as Michael Green, Seth Grahame-Smith, T.S. Nowlin, and Jeremy Slater have all taken a turn working on the script, and it's about time to just get the thing done already. There needs to be a quality Fanastic Four movie soon before the franchise loses its luster entirely.

You Are The Revolution In New Trailer For The Fifth Estate
The newest trailer for The Fifth Estate, the upcoming film about Julian Assange and the rise and fall of WikiLeaks and platinum blonde wigs, hopes that flattery will get it everywhere. Focusing his intense gaze slightly off-camera and looking a little bit like an albino version of the villain in that last Star Trek movie, Assange (played by the now-ubiquitous Benedict Cumberbatch) tells an unseen entity that "You are the revolution." At first it's not clear to whom he is speaking, but the text that flashes across the screen makes it clear that he is in fact talking to us.

Mogura no Uta Trailer Promises More Delightfully Crazy Violence From Takashi Miike
If you're a fan of Japanese cinema and/or batshit crazy movies in general, then you may be familiar with Takashi Miike, the director of films such as Happiness of the Katakuris, Audition and Ichi the Killer. His fanbase in the United States includes one Eli Roth, who gave him a cameo part in the first Hostel movie. Miike is no stranger to hilariously over-the-top violence, and judging by the trailer for his upcoming film Mogura no Uta, that trend is set to continue.
