WB Announces The Campaign For Blu-Ray Later This Month
The political comedy The Campaign managed to make some decent cash when it saw its theatrical release just two months ago in August. Will Ferrell has proven to be a sure-thing at the box office, even when he stars in R-rated political comedies that tend to have a narrow audience Zach Galifianakis' recent appeal surely helped draw in some cash too, even though he tends to stick to the same role over and over again.

Sony Announces Men In Black 3 For Blu-Ray In November
Men in Black 3 has finally been released, an entire decade after the most disappointing chapter in the series, Men in Black II. The return of Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith and director Barry Sonnenfeld meant more intergalactic laughs and action, only now mixed with 3D. Sonnenfeld mostly delivers a satisfying sequel that hits all of the marks. The addition of Josh Brolin as a young Tommy Lee is surprisingly the best part of the film and for once the 3D actually feels like a worthwhile surcharge.

Fox Announces Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter For 3D Blu-Ray
The Timur Bekmambetov-directed dead-serious vampire flick Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, based on the novel of the same name is something of a disappointment. Despite the promised cheese and gore in the trailers, the film ended up following the entire concept without as much as a smile. Blame the book, but I blame the lack of character Benjamin Walker brings to the film and the misused Dominic Cooper that goes mostly unnoticed.

It's a situation that has come to life before in various films, but Ruby Sparks tackles the dilemma with complexity and realism it's almost creepy in moments.

Steven Spielberg is one high-profile director that has embraced the high definition Blu-Ray format, bringing lots of his films to Blu-Ray, like Jurassic Park, Minority Report, Indiana Jones and many others. One of his lesser-known films, Catch Me If You Can, is finally going to be seeing the light of day on the high-def format later this year in December.

The Avengers Blu-Ray Review
Joss Whedon's The Avengers is one of those rare big-budget summer blockbusters that doesn't completely insult your intelligence. It's gigantic in scale and full of action and has a ton of impressive character dynamics. Unfortunately though, it never redefines or heightens the comic book genre like others before it.

Katy Perry: Part of Me is one of those rare music documentaries that is worth a viewing even for non-fans. The film is even-handed and moving in its reveal of the larger-than-life pop sensation. The Victim Blu-Ray Review
Michael Biehn's directorial debut disappointingly crumbles under its own cheap production. The Victim is nothing more than a nude-heavy bore-fest that claims to be a thriller. The Blu-Ray looks fine and sounds decent, but only contains one lonely extra.

Safe Blu-Ray Review
Safe is an exceptional Jason Statham B-movie that managed to sneak through the cracks during its theatrical release. The film's action sequences are expertly shot and the violence takes up a majority of the running time. Consider this one of Jason Statham's better low-radar action flicks.
