Square Enix has released the first in a series of trailers for next year's Tomb Raider, showcasing some of the gameplay mechanics players can expect to see in the upcoming reboot.
SEGA is continuing to pull from their vast library of vintage titles and rereleasing select games for digital distribution. This time around, they've made three classic mid-90s fighting games from developer AM2 available on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. Those three include Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers, and Sonic the Fighters. All three titles originated in arcades and appeared on older systems such as the SEGA Saturn, but this is their first release in high-definition, along with support for online multiplayer.
Sony has revealed a new character players can expect to see next year in Naughty Dog's The Last of Us. Her name is Tess, and she is a black market negotiator who is a longtime partner of main protagonist Joel. Described as "strong, smart, and street-savvy", Tess is an expert at concocting plans to secure the contraband she and our hero need.
It's hard to believe that it's been seven years since Sly Cooper went on his last adventure back in the days of the PlayStation 2. That's why it's nice to see that the upcoming Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time looks to retain the same sense of character and personality previous games in the series were known for - at least if this new trailer is any indication.
Those who own a Wii U and have been itching to try out Ubisoft's upcoming Rayman Legends now have the opportunity. A downloadable demo for the game is now available on the system's Nintendo eShop in the US, with a UK demo scheduled for release later today. The demo includes three different levels for players to try out, individually titled Teensies in Trouble, Toad Story, and Castle Rock, the last of which you can view a video of here. As with many of Nintendo's demos, the download has a limit to the number of times players can launch it before expiring, with the limit here being 30 plays.
