Trailer For William H. Macy’s Directorial Debut Rudderless Is Now Online
William H. Macy arrived at last January's Sundance Film Festival with his directorial debut, a music dramedy called Rudderless. Reviews were good, the cast is solid and the story is heartwarming and inspiring - so it is strange that we have heard so little about this upcoming feature. Now, however, Rudderless has a feel-good trailer online that promises a solid run on demand and in theaters when the film releases this October.

Box Office Report: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga To #1
North America loved the Turtles this weekend, as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo blasted to the top of the box office, with a hefty $65 million opening. That is the fourth largest August opening ever (behind Guardians of the Galaxy, The Bourne Ultimatum and Rush Hour 2) and even had a bigger audience than the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie did when that film broke records in March 1990. After a July filled with disappointing returns, it is a relief to see that this August is bringing in the crowds.

The Americans’ Matthew Rhys Will Be A Rival Chef For Bradley Cooper
One of the biggest Emmy snubs this year was Matthew Rhys from the Best Leading Actor in a Drama Series category. His equally chilling and compelling turn as KGB agent Philip Jennings on The Americans was the high point of the show's second season. However, he was passed over due to a packed TV landscape (and the inclusion of two True Detective actors in that category). Regardless, those looking to see Rhys scowl and seduce even more are in luck, as the actor is now attached to an untitled culinary film from director John Wells starring Bradley Cooper.

Yves Saint-Laurent Review
Despite the running time, the debut from French actor-turned-director Jelil Lespert achieves much. It shows us how Saint-Laurent changed the world of fashion while the new fashions of social life changed his life. By the end of the biopic, he is a multifaceted figure full of contradictions and complexities - although he is still more of an icon that a character.

Andrew Garfield And Michael Shannon Are Serious In First Image From 99 Homes
Ramin Bahrani is not a name that many people know of, but he is one of the finest filmmakers working today. Anyone who saw Life Itself, the documentary about late film critic Roger Ebert, may remember that Bahrani befriended Ebert after the reviewer praised some of his early work, and it is likely due to Ebert's influence that Bahrani has such a renowned reputation. His latest film, 99 Homes, is slated to premiere at the Venice and Toronto film festivals next month, and today we have our first look at it.

Dakota Fanning Joins Film Adaptation Of American Pastoral
I am about to make many of you feel very old.....Dakota Fanning turned 20 earlier this year. The I Am Sam actor is probably best known for her early screen work, although she has built up a resume of intriguing art-house films as of late, including Night Moves and Amy Berg's upcoming drama Every Secret Thing. However, mainstream audiences have not seen her in a while. That will all likely change very soon though, as Fanning is now attached to the adaptation of Philip Roth's American Pastoral, in the role of Merry Levov.
