Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix Logo Surfaces
An unconfirmed logo has surfaced on the internet today for something called Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix. While there is no official information tying the logo to Ubisoft, its appearance suggests that Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag might not be the only AC-related product that the publisher is planning to release this year.

Valve Planning To Ship Steam Box Prototypes Within Four Months
Speaking to the BBC, Valve's Gabe Newell announced that the company is planning to start sending Steam Box prototypes to "customers" within the next "three or four months" to "gauge their reactions". Newell didn't reveal exactly how many of the prototype units they will be sending out, or who among their 50 million registered accounts will get one, but he did note that the hardware is not yet finalized.

Ubisoft Releases Second Call Of Juarez: Gunslinger Teaser Trailer
Ubisoft released a new teaser trailer for Call of Juarez: Gunslinger today, along with the promise that they will fully reveal Techland's downloadable Wild West title on March 14th. While none of us are exactly thrilled about our second look at the game being yet another teaser, at least this one is made up of more than just a bit of semi-relevant live-action video.

EA’s SimCity Proves Why You Should Fear The Always-On DRM Future
Many consumers who purchased SimCity this week have discovered that they have a lot in common with those who didn't buy the latest addition to the long-running simulation franchise. Specifically, neither of these two groups of people currently have the ability to actually boot up and play the game. For non-buyers this is an obvious result of not actually having a copy of SimCity. For Electronic Arts' loyal customers, this is the result of the company's inability to provide an adequate number of servers, combined with the publisher's decision to make the game a DRM-filled, online-only, anti-consumer nightmare.

Company Of Heroes 2 Reports For Duty This June
Sega announced today that Company of Heroes 2 will invade PCs on June 25th in North America and Europe. The last we heard THQ had the next installment in the Company of Heroes franchise scheduled for a vague "March 2013" release, which means Sega's new launch date is actually a three month delay. While nobody likes delays, the game did managed break free from being trapped in THQ bankruptcy limbo, so it's a small price for fans to pay.

And The Next Square Enix Deus Ex Trademark Is, Deus Ex: The Fall
Even though Square Enix has yet to officially announce a sequel to their 2011 action-RPG, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the publisher is clearly working behind the scenes to push the franchise forward on multiple fronts. While the exact next step for the series is unknown, we do know that one of the Deus Ex-plates that Square Enix is frantically spinning in the air is apparently named Deus Ex: The Fall.
