Remember how I said in last week's review that there wasn't enough forward plot development in this season of Community? Well, this week's very belated Thanksgiving episode was certainly a doozy, at least plot-development-wise: Jeff meets his long-estranged father.
Hmm. One of the side effects of not watching TV live is that you can't altogether avoid seeing others' reactions to an episode before watching it. That's what happened with me and this week's episode of Community, and while I liked this episode as a whole, I can't help but keep the mixed reactions to it from other corners of the web in mind. But more on that in a bit.
It's been a long time coming, but October 19th is finally here! "History 101", the season 4 premiere of Community, marks the first episode of the show without creator Dan Harmon. And thankfully, much of the trademark zippy dialogue and offbeat humor is still there.
After what must have been decades, Pierce Hawthorne is finally graduating from Greendale College: Deadline reports today that actor Chevy Chase is leaving NBC's Community. Chase and the producers of the comedy have reached a mutual agreement, and his departure will be effective immediately. The bulk of season 4's filming already wrapped up, meaning that Pierce will only be missing from the one or two episodes in the upcoming season that haven't been filmed yet.
Check out this exciting — and very promising — first trailer for Now You See Me, Louis Leterrier's upcoming crime thriller that seems to contain a good dose of both action and mystery.
And so the Marvel vs. DC rivalry continues. Wally Pfister, Christopher Nolan's longtime cinematographer, has expressed his distaste for the cinematography in The Avengers.
Can't wait for the return of the Greendale gang on October 19th? Well, you're gonna have to wait for a while longer, because NBC is pushing back the season 4 premiere of Community - as well as the season 2 premiere of Whitney - from October 19th, their originally scheduled airdates, to a date that's yet to be determined.
It can't get any more star-studded than this. Upcoming comedy Movie 43 boasts over ten directors and many, many Hollywood stars. And today, thanks to The Film Stage, we have the first stills from the film.
Now this is definitely the best trailer that I've seen in a while. If you can't get enough of Rian Johnson's Looper, and even if you're excited for the movie but want to avoid spoilers, this awesome animated trailer is for you.
