I admit that when I think quality acting, I do not immediately think ‘Jessica Biel.’ But I might have to re-evaluate my opinion of the actress, after what she recently said about the challenges of classical Hollywood.
Well, maybe not quite lovely. There’s a twinge of something wrong in the first image of Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga as Norman and Norma Bates in A&E’s Psycho prequel series Bates Motel. Even their bucolic surroundings can’t conceal something a wee bit off.
In a world full of incredibly unnecessary sequels to delightful original films of the 80s and 90s, why not one more completely, embarassingly unnecessary sequel? And why not have it be by a once-funny comedian who has not made a decent film this millennium?
The sum total of how much I care about Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, the Twilight franchise, or anything having to do with it, is exactly nil; despite, of course, being a woman and apparently supposed to like that kind of thing. BUT – and there is always a but – the most recent news about Stewart's involvement in the projected Snow White and the Huntsman sequel makes me just the teeniest bit happy.
Nicole Kidman has worked with her share of sexy leading men: Hugh Jackman, Ewan MacGregor, George Clooney, Daniel Day-Lewis, and, of course, Tom Cruise before he went insane. But looking through her filmography, I realize that Kidman only rarely works with the same leading man twice, Tom excepted.

He’s being considered to star as one of the more shirtless characters in cinematic history.
Director Guillermo del Toro might be the hardest working man in Hollywood; or at least the one who would work the hardest if he could. With monsters vs. robots film Pacific Rim set to hit in July, The Playlist reports that del Toro is already considering what he’ll do next … and it sounds like it’s up for grabs.
Slowly but surely we are getting more information about the Assassin’s Creed film starring Michael Fassbender. A mere few weeks ago we learned that the film had found a distributor in 20th Century Fox. Now an Ubisoft chief sales and marketing officer named Geoffrey Sardinsays tells us that we can expect the Creed film in “the next coming year.”
With Sacha Gervasi’s film Hitchcock heading to a limited release at the end of November, we’re naturally beginning to see more promotional pieces for the film. The first trailer hit not too long ago and now we’ve got the first featurette, focusing on the relationship between Hitchcock and his wife and partner Alma Reville.
