About The Author

Lindsay Sperling has A.D.D. and her tastes reflect it. Her movie collection boasts everything from Casablanca to John Tucker Must Die to every season of Sons of Anarchy to-date. She adamantly supported a Veronica Mars Movie (yes, she did make a donation to see it happen..and also possibly for the t-shirt), hopes that the Fast & Furious franchise continues far into the future, and has read every popular YA book series turned film in recent years (except Harry Potter..). When she's not on an indie film set or educating the youth of America, she uses her time arguably productive as a freelance writer.

Pretty Little Liars Review: “Out, Damn Spot” (Season 5, Episode 19)
Pretty Little Liars is like a game of spin the bottle - except when the bottle lands on a character, they don't get rewarded with a kiss. Instead, they get accused of being part of the A-squad. The latest victim of this crude game of chance is none other than Aria's (Lucy Hale) little brother, Mike (Cody Christian). As if this kid hasn't been through enough with his girlfriend turning up dead (err, suspected to be dead), he's now become mixed up with whatever sordid plan Ali (Sasha Pieterse) is concocting from the comfort of her jail cell while she awaits trial for the aforementioned murder. What a tangled weave the writers have transfixed viewers with the season.

The Vampire Diaries Review: “The Day I Tried To Live” (Season 6, Episode 13)
Even though The Vampire Diaries slowed things way down tonight, there was still that sense of urgency and pending doom that makes the show so enjoyable to watch season after season. With tragedy looming around every corner- past, present, and future - the characters took a much needed time out to celebrate the birthday of their temporarily departed friend, Bonnie (Kat Graham).

The 100 Review: “Coup De Grâce ” (Season 2, Episode 11)
The 100 are preparing for a war, and as if there's not enough bad blood between the factions already, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) decided to add just a little more fuel to the fire. Not that I blame her, considering the Mountain Men did try to assassinate her while she got in touch with her cowgirl side, err, rode around on a horse looking purposeful. But, in a half glass full type of way, everything worked out. Unless that is, if you happen to be one of the unlucky 47 stuck inside Mount Weather in the middle of a coup de grâce - thus the title of the episode. Those characters should probably just enjoy the cake while they wait to either be rescued or become part of a gruesome science experiment - and the odds aren't exactly in their favor just yet.

The 100 Review: “Survival Of The Fittest” (Season 2, Episode 10)
After The 100 gave fans a phenomenal preview of Clarke (Eliza Taylor) sans emotions at the close of last week's episode, "Survival of the Fittest" was pretty much a gigantic let down on that front. The good news is that while Clarke and Lexa (Alycia Debham Carey) were out fending off King Kong and trying to keep all their limbs (hashtag post nuclear disaster problems?), Octavia (Maria Averopoulos) was holding down the fort. And while the cat's away, the mice definitely got their play on - if that consists of beating each other up in the interest of training for the pending battle against the Mountain Men.

Pretty Little Liars Review: “The Bin Of Sins” (Season 5, Episode 17)
If the Christmas edition of Pretty Little Liars was meant to be the one episode this season when all the characters finally embraced the positive, tonight's episode was the one where they felt the weight of the negative. The Liars found themselves once again getting the short end of the stick - story of their lives, right? - when A's plan, which at this point is a little hard to follow, threatens them on a grander, real world scale. The idea of spending their post-high school years in jail as opposed to living it up at the college of their choice (fingers crossed) is enough to send our favorite Liars into panic mode major - and the results aren't exactly glamorous.

The Vampire Diaries Review: “Woke Up With A Monster” (Season 6, Episode 11)
The Vampire Diaries world was rocked last season when the travelers managed to bamboozle their way into Mystic Falls and cast a no-magic spell, banning most of our favorite residents from going home. That, coupled with a few other calamities, namely the disappearance of Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) into oblivion, and the whole show nearly fell apart. OK, maybe not technically, but in my head it did. Sufficient to say, this loss of home base set in motion a definite shift in the framework of the show.

The 100 Review: “Remember Me” (Season 2, Episode 9)
There's a lot of places that The 100 could have taken the story after killing off Finn (Thomas McDonell) in the mid-season finale last month (besides scoring a third season). Even after all this time, it's still a little hard to believe that the writers actually wrote one of the main characters off of the show - but frankly, it was about time. Finn started off as a solid character but over time moved further and further into the gratuitous zone until he finally just lost it a few episodes back.

Pretty Little Liars Review: “Over A Barrel” (Season 5, Episode 16)
The fact that Hannah (Ashley Benson) uttered the words "Thank G-d you got rid of it," in affirmation of Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) destroying evidence in Mona's (Janel Parrish) murder case, pretty much sums up how far the Liars have fallen since season one. Not only have the girls been through one hell of a ride over the last five seasons, but obviously their moral compasses has take a permanent hit. It's no wonder their lives have went from bad to worse since they helped A put Ali (Sasha Pieterse) behind bars.
