The weekend's Television Critics Association press tour has provided a lot of interesting updates for some of our most anticipated upcoming shows, in particular season 2 of Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil. The latest info relates to Elodie Yung's incarnation of fan-favourite assassin, Elektra, who has been both friend (well, more than friend) and foe to Matt Murdock in the comics.
Over the span of just a few months, we've gone from having absolutely nothing on Captain America: Civil War to having the floodgates being blown right open. It all started with that massive first trailer and since then, it's been a barrage of marketing material.
With the first trailer set to drop tomorrow, Universal has released a brief, 15 second sneak peak of Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising to whet our appetites. A new batch of images from the London set of the Patty Jenkins-directed Wonder Woman movie have popped up online. The latest issue of Total Film magazine features a new batch of exciting images from next month's Deadpool. There's the Merc with a Mouth himself about to slice 'n dice an unfortunate goon, X-Men members Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Wade Wilson sharing a laugh with Vanessa Carlyle, bad guys Ajax and Angel Dust, and finally, Mr. Pool saving a kitten from a tree like any deranged ant-hero worth their salt.

Unfortunately, the results were rather underwhelming and so, the rest of the books never made it into theatres. Fast forward to the present day and Netflix is now giving the source material a shot with a 13 episode series.

At that time, Hugh Jackman and Rooney Mara were on board. Then Jackman dropped out and was replaced by Will Smith. Then, both Mara and Gomez-Rejon left.

Del Toro is a huge fan of the trio of short story collections, and posted the above image to Twitter when the news broke, in which he displays some of his collection of original illustrations by Stephen Gammell.
