It seems not all of the new droid characters we'll be meeting on our return journey to the galaxy far, far away will be on the side of the heroes. Following a new batch of official Rogue One: A Star Wars Story stills from Empire Magazine, the latest episode of The Star Wars Show web series has debuted our first glimpse of Imperial astromech droid C2-B5, AKA evil R2-D2.
A couple of months ago, Anna Kendrick was asked which superhero she'd most like to play during an interview and answered Squirrel Girl. Now, while this hardly seemed like much to get excited about at the time, the internet went nuts over the idea of the popular actress inhabiting the role of Doreen Green - with even the likes of Edgar Wright and The Russo Bros offering their endorsements.
Marvel's Captain America: Civil War will be available on Digital HD this Friday and is due out on DVD and Blu-ray in a couple of weeks, and in the buildup to its release, we've been bombarded with deleted scenes and featurettes. This latest sneak peek offers a brief glimpse into the mystical realms of the studio's next sure-to-be blockbuster: Doctor Strange.
Director Michael Bay recently shared a video from the Scottish Isle of Skye, where he is currently shooting the fifth installment in Paramount's block-busting franchise, Transformers: The Last Knight. The footage seemed to add credence to the rumor that this latest robots in disguise adventure would draw heavily upon Arthurian legend for its plot, and this latest casting announcement most certainly confirms it.
Out of the 11 characters lined up in front of Negan in the closing moments of the season 6 finale of The Walking Dead, Abraham seemed to be the one fans thought would most likely meet a gruesome end courtesy of Lucille - even though it's actually Glenn that checks out in the comics.
Captain America: Civil War sent shockwaves through the Marvel Cinematic Universe, forever changing the status quo and paving the way for the studio's future slate of films. As we head into the final four months of the year, we're about to be spoiled by a whole bunch of top tier television shows. While the past little while has seen series like Halt and Catch Fire, Stranger Things, The Get Down and Mr. Robot hit our screens, the summer has definitely been a bit slow. That's about to change, though, and from superhero shows like Arrow and The Flash to bold and bizarre television like American Horror Story and Son of Zorn, there's certainly a lot to look forward to.
HBO's Game of Thrones is hardly what you'd describe as a happy series, but this year's sixth season did contain quite a few bright moments, and is generally considered to be the most positive batch of episodes we've seen since the show's inception. This is largely due to the resurrection of Jon Snow, and seeing the despicable Ramsay Bolton finally get his comeuppance - but if fans were expecting this to inform the storylines for the final couple of seasons, they may be in for some disappointment.
Now that Justice League is well into production, we're starting to hear bits and pieces about some of the solo DC movies that Warner Bros. have in the pipeline, and here we have an interesting rumor regarding the villain(s) Ezra Miller's Scarlet Speedster will be squaring off against in director Rick Famuyiwa's The Flash.

With the introduction of several new characters alongside a whole handful of returning faces, there was more than enough to sink our teeth into. However, that doesn't mean that directors Joe and Anthony Russo didn't have a few ideas that they had to leave on the drawing board.
