Robert Rodriguez Planning New Sci-Fi Thriller Hypnotic
As Hollywood looks to genres other than comic book movies to reinvigorate, it seems another “grounded cop thriller with sci-fi elements,” is on the way, in the form of Hypnotic. Studio 8 has announced that director Robert Rodriguez and writer Max Borenstein will collaborate on the upcoming project - with Borenstein tasked with re-writing an original script by Rodriguez, and Rodriguez directing and producing.

Justice League Cut Many Of Commissioner Gordon’s Scenes
The Justice League post-mortem continues today, with Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons weighing in on the issue of scenes cut from the movie. The actor made his DC Universe debut in the superhero team-up tale, playing Commissioner Gordon and, though he featured quite prominently in promotional clips, many fans were dismayed to find that that he barely featured in the film itself.

Jon Favreau Confirmed For Solo: A Star Wars Story
It seems that Jon Favreau has his sights set on another Disney property. Having essentially launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe by helming 2008’s Iron Man, then bringing home box office glory with the studio’s live-action remake of The Jungle Book, and now directing the live-action remake of The Lion King, the actor-director will also feature in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, as a voice performer for an as-yet unknown character.

Spider-Man 3 Star Thinks Sam Raimi Would Direct Another Spidey Film
When Spider-Man 3 arrived in theatres in 2007, it ultimately became Sam Raimi’s swan-song in terms of his work in the realm of comic book movies. Having been the creative force that reinvigorated the genre in 2002 with Spider-Man – a breath of fresh air after Joel Schumacher’s attempts at Batman movies in the 1990s – Raimi built his web-slinger work into a solid trilogy, which appeared to culminate in a film packed with infamous Marvel villains. Aquaman Composer Teases First Trailer Coming Soon
In relation to the traditional marketing of the average DCEU film, Aquaman is technically already late. The trailers for three of the five movies currently in the franchise arrived a full year before their official release dates and, though we are now just ten months away from the Atlantean’s December solo movie debut, we've yet to see anything resembling a promotional snippet. It's definitely on its way, though, as an Instagram post from the film’s composer confirms.
