Ironclad Blu-Ray Review
After my mediocre encounter with Black Death a couple months ago, my expectations were low for Jonathan English's Ironclad. British period pieces tend to be drab, boring, or extremely far-fetched on film and so, I wasn't too eager to see another one. However, I was quite relieved to find that English's effort was a bit better than Black Death and definitely more entertaining.

Rango Blu-Ray Review
Ever since I was introduced to animation in high definition with the 2007 Blu-ray release of Ratatouille I have been certainly been hooked. Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks have had a monopoly on animation for the last four years of Blu-ray, but the other studios like Sony, Universal, and now Paramount are slowly starting to find their niche in the genre. Directed by Gore Verbinski, the man that brought us The Ring, The Mexican, and the Pirates Trilogy, Rango may certainly be his best venture yet.

Another Year Blu-Ray Review
I had never seen any of Mike Leigh's films before, but someone suggested that I should see Another Year so I figured there was no harm in giving it a rental. The film comes off as a rather interesting character study of several people that have different experiences with life and therefore have different outlooks on life. That and the suggestion from someone else convinced me that I definitely needed to see this film and now in retrospect, I am certainly glad that I did.

Biutiful Blu-Ray Review
Let me first point out that I have never seen any of Alejandro González Iñárritu's other films which include Babel and 21 Grams, among others. I actually wanted to see Biutiful because it looked like it might have an interesting story. Plus, the fact that it was nominated for Best Foreign Film at the Academy Awards earlier this year made it more appealing.

Gnomeo & Juliet Blu-Ray Review
As has been the case for the last 70 years, Disney continues to impress audiences with its animated features and Gnomeo & Juliet is certainly no exception to the rule. We've all seen several adaptations and films of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, but I highly doubt you've seen it like this. We are introduced to two houses, Montague and Capulet of course. The Montague household consists of an older man while the Capulet household consists of a older woman and they hate each other with a passion. Each has their own garden in their backyard containing various yard decorations and other assorted garden nicknacks.
