Ryan Murphy is all over FX. The former Nip/Tuck creator helped bring American Horror Story and The People vs. OJ Simpson onto the small screen, and later this year he'll unveil Feud: Better and Joan, his latest anthology series which looks at the legendary rivalry between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. While details on the project have been slim up to this point, the promotional wagon has now kicked into gear and after premiering a pair of intriguing teasers, the network has now released the first images from the anticipated series.
2016 wasn't Ben Affleck's year. The A-lister behind Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice suffered some of the weakest reviews of his career, picked up a Worst Actor Razzie nomination, and despite high hopes, October's The Accountant didn't serve him well. But the biggest blow probably came from Live By Night, his prohibition-era gangster drama which he wrote, directed, produced and starred in, which not only failed to live up to his Argo standards but completely flat-tired at the box office. According to recent estimations, Affleck's fourth directorial effort lost Warner Bros. a whole $75 million. Ouch.
Like many actors before him, True Blood's Stephen Moyer's been bitten by the directing bug. He'll make his feature film directorial debut with The Parting Glass, a dark family drama which will give him another chance to work with Anna Paquin, who's set to star in the film.
When Peter Dinklage joined Avengers: Infinity War in a mysterious role, speculation — as it always does on the Internet — ran rampant. Multiple characters were thrown into the mix, but based on some new paparazzi photos, Dinklage's new hairdo might've given away his identity.
Did anyone ask for a new King Arthur movie? Whether you did or not, Warner Bros. plans to release King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Guy Ritchie's visionary take on the classic fable, this spring, and to help whet our appetite before the next trailer, EW has debuted several stills from the film, which you can check out above.
This spring, Charlie Hunnam, Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson will grow out their facial hair and explore the wild when James Grey's long-awaited The Lost City of Z adaptation finally comes to theaters. To promote its release, the official UK trailer was released earlier today and promises a visually stunning glimpse into this true tale of exploration, discovery, tranquility and danger. Lots and lots of danger.
Another day, another foreign horror film might be remade by Hollywood. This time around, the acclaimed South Korean epic The Wailing could get the American treatment under producer Ridley Scott. Of course, there might be some obstacles he needs to overcome first if it's going to happen.
Director D.J. Caruso (Disturbia) keeps himself busy these days. He helmed and co-wrote last fall's The Disappointment Room, which apparently lived up to its title, only to turn around and helm this weekend's xXx: Return of Xander Cage just a few months later. He's already attached to direct G.I. Joe 3 and the horror thriller Selling Time, but that's not all. He's also, once again, eyeing the long-promised comic book adaptation Y: The Last Man, which looks to find life on the small screen.
There are many reasons to get excited for Avengers: Infinity War. The larger than life superhero sequel event promises to be something mind-blowing for comic book fans everywhere, and those involved are inclined to agree. Among the actors appearing in the superhero showcase is Vin Diesel, playing the lovable Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy films. For years, he's teased a fight between his alien character and Mark Ruffalo's embittered Hulk and now, we'll finally get such a brawl in the upcoming 2018 blockbuster extravaganza — if Diesel is to be believed.
As a kid, one often wonders who would beat whom in a fight. Even adults find themselves caught up in such quandaries, as made evident by last year's divisive Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Yes, curiosity is a hungry beast, and while such questions usually lead to nothing, it's always fun to speculate. Tom Holland seems to agree. The newfound Spider-Man was recently asked who would win in a fight: Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man or his own version of the character. Expectedly, the actor believes his portrayal of Peter Parker would make them all eat their webby lunch.
