Addison Rae to star in Eli Roth’s upcoming horror flick ‘Thanksgiving’

'White meat, Dark Meat, they will all be carved.'

Social media personality and actress Addison Rae is all set to star in a new horror flick from Eli Roth called Thanksgiving.

Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy, Enchanted) has also joined the cast, per Deadline. Roth is a pretty prolific horror director, having helmed Hostel, Cabin Fever, and Death Wish, among others. He’s also known as Donny “The Bear Jew” Donowitz in Inglourious Basterds. The script was written by Jeff Rendel, who appeared in both Grindhouse and Cabin Fever. Shooting is set to begin in March.

Thanksgiving has kind of a weird history. A pseudo trailer for the movie appeared in Grindhouse and showed a gruesome beheading at a parade, along with other cliche horrors.

Some sample lines from the trailer: “There will be no leftovers,” and “White meat, dark meat, they will all be carved.” It’s taken quite a few years (15, to be exact) for the movie to come to fruition, but it looks like it’s going to be worth the wait. In one of the scenes in the trailer, Roth gets decapitated himself. Check it out below.

Rae, who is already one of the most popular social media stars ever, recently inked a deal with Netflix that’s on par with A-list stars such as Will Smith (pre-slap) and Adam Sandler. Her breakout Netflix movie He’s All That convinced a lot of companies to want to work with her.

Rae posted about the movie on her Instagram page, where she has 39 million followers. “Let’s eat,” she wrote in the caption, with some Thanksgiving-related emojis.
