After a dazzling ‘Fast X’ cameo appearance, Dwayne Johnson confirms a Luke Hobbs spin-off is happening

Get ready for a wild ride.

With action enthusiasts still reeling from pulse-pounding extravaganza Fast X, franchise fans are in for a special treat after star Dwayne Johnson revealed that an upcoming Fast & Furious spin-off focused on Luke Hobbs is now on the horizon. Given how widely popular Johnson’s character is, most folks were gobsmacked to learn that he’d be making a cameo appearance in the tenth installment, let alone starring in an entirely different movie.

Over on his official Twitter account, Johnson happily shared the news with his millions of followers, all while vacationing in Hawaii and wearing a stylish ensemble. In the video, Johnson explained that the mass reaction to Hobbs showing up in Fast X’s end-credits scene helped to push forward the process, with him insisting that the aforementioned moment was “so f***ing cool.” You can check out the post for yourself down below:

Of course, it definitely wouldn’t be a video about the decorated franchise without Johnson addressing his ever-present feud with star Vin Diesel. However, Johnson expressed that despite their obvious differences, he considers Diesel a “brother” and insisted that the franchise’s future plans are “much bigger” than either individual. The news is undoubtedly a positive sign for die-hards that have been following the engaging narrative since the beginning — and it appears that the story is only set to continue.

As of now, sources have insisted that the movie is not a spin-off of Hobbs & Shaw, but simply a separate movie that pays close attention to Johnson’s beloved character. But until we’re graced with the much-anticipated film, folks can catch Fast X in theaters now.
