Alyssa Milano apologized to Britney Spears after allegedly ‘bullying’ her on Twitter

Not a great look for the 'Charmed' actress!

Alyssa Milano says she has apologized to Britney Spears over a December 2022 tweet that the singer either just recently discovered, or waited until now to react to.

At the time, the Charmed actress seemingly had expressed concern over Spears, who had been making headlines with her erratic social media posts — leading some fans to worry that something was off about her behavior, or that she was possibly missing or in trouble.

“Someone please go check on Britney Spears,” Milano tweeted, without offering any further information or explanation.

Spears finally responded to Milano in a late night Instagram story on Tuesday.

“It saddens me to see things about me from people who don’t know me!!!” the 42-year-old wrote, sharing a screenshot of the tweet. “This definitely feels like a form of bullying!!! Ladies, we are supposed to be rooting for one another not pulling one another down!!!”

According to TMZ, however, it seems like the water is already under the bridge.

“A rep for the actress tells us Alyssa reached out to Britney privately Wednesday to apologize after BS took to Instagram to slam a tweet of Alyssa’s that she considered ‘bullying.’ As for how AM got the message across … Brit sources tell us she sent a private message Britney’s way this morning.”

An outspoken advocate for everything from AIDS awareness to animal rights, Milano is largely credited for signal-boosting the modern day #MeToo movement and hashtag, originated in 2006 by Tarana Burke, in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault scandal. “If you’ve been sexually harassed or assaulted write ‘me too’ as a reply to this tweet,” the 50-year-old wrote in an Oct, 15, 2017 tweet that immediately went viral.

Given her political leanings and feminist views, it makes sense that Milano would want to get far away from any accusations of bullying.
