Bad Bunny does ‘Carpool Karaoke,’ and sings to Harry Styles and Ariana Grande

Music superstar Bad Bunny sings his hits, other stars' hits, and watches James Corden wrestle Rey Mysterio.

With just a couple months left before James Corden retires as a late night host, he saved one of the world’s biggest music stars for one of his last Carpool Karaoke skits on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Bad Bunny, born Benito Ocasio in Puerto Rico, is the ultimate Latin music star with over 60 songs that have graced the Billboard Hot 100 charts, eight of which have been in the Top 10.

Bunny hopped into James’ car for a Carpool Karaoke segment that aired earlier tonight and talked about numerous things, including his love for wrestling.

Initially, Corden asked him about his curious choice of name to which Bad Bunny explained that he initially wanted to be a mysterious musical artist that hid his real identity and figured to do so by wearing a bunny mask at his performances, hence the name, but he ditched the idea and decided to just be himself. The name stuck, however.

Bunny sang some of his hits, including “Dakiti,” and “Tití Me Pregnutó.” He also briefly sang his breakthrough hit, “I Like It,” which was his 2018 collaboration with Cardi B and J Balvin.

However, he celebrated his contemporaries as well, singing to Araina Grande’s “Break Free,” and ended his stint riding shotgun by singing along to “As It Was,” by Harry Styles. It will likely make people start to wonder if a potentially monumental collab with one of them can soon happen.

Corden also put Bad Bunny on the spot after learning that he the musical artist spent his childhood drawing every day. Following the host’s Jesus-like drawing of Bad Bunny, the star returned the favor but the result was not as good as his music. When the shoe was on the other foot, Bunny accurately pointed out that his rendition of the talk show host looks more like Donald Trump.

The most unexpected moment of the segment is when Corden wrestled with WWE star Rey Mysterio, who will be inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame during this year’s WrestleMania weekend, which is less than three weeks away (Apr 1-2). The quick match occurred after Bad Bunny discussed his multiple appearances on the pro wrestling circuit.

In 2021, Bunny performed and then wrestled at the Royal Rumble, and also appeared a couple weeks later to help his friend Damian Priest in a match. Does that make Bunny a part of The Judgment Day? That’s a question that wrestling fans will appreciate.

It begs another question, however. Is a WrestleMania appearance by Bad Bunny a possibility? Perhaps, but there are little signs to show it.

Bad Bunny summed up his chance to wrestle for WWE by saying, “It was maybe the best day of my life.”
