BTS fans’ concern grows as Jin gets vaccinated in military grounds by unauthorized personnel

It seems that BTS members taking part in South Korea’s mandatory military duties isn’t enough to keep these K-pop stars safe.

It was reported that Kim Seok-jin, also known as Jin in BTS, was vaccinated by an unauthorized personnel on military grounds. According to AllKpop.com, a female military nurse from the 28th Division left her workstation without permission just so she could administer Jin’s vaccination. At the same time, it was alleged that the nurse in question was involved in the “unauthorized distribution of medication to the 5th Division,” such as distributing large quantities of Tylenol after hearing that there was a medicine shortage.

This news caused shockwaves in the K-pop fandom at the revelation that someone who’s currently doing military work could also be at the risk of harm from stalkers and dangerous people. Fans urged for the arrest of this nurse since unauthorized departure from the workplace is illegal in South Korean law and could lead to one year in prison.

This isn’t the first time that a BTS member was reported to be at risk from other dangerous people. Just a few days ago, a stalker proclaimed their intentions to kill Jungkook at his home after he told fans to stop sending him food. Meanwhile, RM called out those who leaked his personal information, including his whereabouts for three years.

Unfortunately for Jin, neither his label nor management could do anything about the events that unfolded since he was, and still is under the government’s employ. Hopefully, the South Korean military will learn from this and enforce tougher rules to ensure that their military personnel, not just the K-pop stars, can be safe.
