WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA - APRIL 04: Former U.S. President Donald Trump speaks during an event at the Mar-a-Lago Club April 4, 2023 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Trump pleaded not guilty in a Manhattan courtroom today to 34 counts related to money paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016, the first criminal charges for any former U.S. president.

Donald Trump claims his arrest resulted in $10 million in donations to his presidential campaign

He needs your money more than your kids need to go to college.

Former President Donald Trump not only absolutely owned the news cycle yesterday, but apparently, he raised $10 million in donations to his campaign as well. Well, it’s important to say that this is his claim — with absolutely zero evidence to back it up.

Keep in mind, this “information” is coming from the same man who’s claimed: it didn’t rain during his inauguration (it did); the head of the Boy Scouts called him personally (he didn’t); oh, and Stormy Daniels.

He took to his failing social media site Truth Social to spread more things that couldn’t be independently verified. His campaign donations, for example, won’t be known for months.

This is a pretty good one; he’s claiming he was “ARRESTED” by “Radical Left Lunatics, Maniacs, and Perverts.” Now, the boasting. He called his arraignment “perhaps the Best Day in History.”

Also, “My Poll Numbers have never been better, almost $10 Million was raised for the Campaign.” The poll numbers thing is actually true. The indictment has galvanized his base and helped his support. However, there’s really no way to know if he got that much money in donations.

This is in addition to the $5 million he said he received 48 hours after the indictment. Oh, and another $1.5 million in three days when he said he would be arrested on March 21. The man is a billionaire. He was given one million dollars from his father to start a business.

Why are hard-working people still giving this man money? Imagine being strapped for cash and giving it to this grifting demagogue. It’s one of life’s mysteries.

“As much as I can enjoy a day like Tuesday, where the Radical Left Lunatics, Maniacs, and Perverts had me Indicted and ARRESTED for no reason whatsoever, there was no Crime, it was an unbelievable experience, perhaps the Best Day in History for somebody who had just suffered Unjustifiable Indictment! My Poll Numbers have never been better, almost $10 Million was raised for the Campaign and, the day was capped off with a very important Speech. If we don’t stop the Radical Left, America is DEAD!”

Hear that? America is DEAD! Unless you give Trump money. Then it comes back to life and goes back to the good ol’ days of historic racism and oppression for anyone who’s not white. Isn’t that great? Or, Trump just continues to get richer off the backs of Americans who don’t seem to know any better.
