Donald Trump endorses Black Panther Party position, calls to defund United States law enforcement at the federal level

Such thinking was initiated by Black Panther Party Deputy Chairman Fred Hampton.

Recently, the liberal memes often shared online through poorly made photoshops became a slight reality when former President Donald Trump was arrested and arraigned yesterday. He has not been happy with this or the other investigations swirling around him and now — in an embrace of Black revolutionary principles — is speaking like Fred Hampton on his main social media account.

“REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS SHOULD DEFUND THE DOJ AND FBI UNTIL THEY COME TO THEIR SENSES. THE DEMOCRATS HAVE TOTALLY WEAPONIZED LAW ENFORCEMENT IN OUR COUNTRY AND ARE VICIOUSLY USING THIS ABUSE OF POWER TO INTERFERE WITH OUR ALREADY UNDER SIEGE ELECTIONS!”

The man who will now have to make his way through the legal system in New York yell-typed the above on Truth Social earlier today. Federally, Trump is under investigation for alleged mishandling of classified documents which were found at his estate in Florida and — for those unfamiliar — the sentiment of his post was initiated by Black Panther Party Deputy Chairman Fred Hampton in the 1960s. At the time he said communities should have control of these organizations and since his death those in activist circles today say much of what they advocate for is rooted in the legacy of the infamous and iconic Black militant organization.

Whether he and others on the right are aware of the similarity is not known at this time, but, on some right-leaning media outlets hostile to the one-time game show host, content is being rolled out to blast him for the sentiment. Fox News hosted a panel with voters today where they asked whether his comments mentioned above are a good idea, and, well, you can watch it down below.

Trump’s next court date is in December. Whether he will embrace more Black liberation theology remains to be seen.
