Dwayne Johnson pays tribute to Joesthetics following the YouTube bodybuilder’s death at the age of 30

The Rock was devastated to hear the tragic news.

The online fitness community remains in a state of shock following the passing of Jo Lindner – better known to his millions of followers across various platforms as Joesthetics – on June 30 from a brain aneurysm at the age of just 30.

With a fanbase that spanned a eight-figure follower count across YouTube and Instagram alone, the fitness influencer had carved out a space for himself as one of the most popular weightlifting and bodybuilding-focused personalities on all of social media.

The tributes have been pouring in from around the world, and a heartfelt message of condolence has been relayed by Dwayne Johnson, with the A-list actor and producer – who of course is no stranger to pumping iron in his downtime – praising Joesthetics’ passionate approach and knowledge, along with The Rock also revealing that he was a big fan of his videos.

The news was first broken by one of Lindner’s best friends – Noel Devzel – who heartbreakingly confirmed the passing of Joesthetics on the very same day the pair were due to hit the gym together. According to another post from his girlfriend, he’d been complaining of a pain in his neck for several days beforehand, although there are no indications as of yet whether or not the two events are connected.

Johnson was additionally mourning the loss of former WWE cohort Darren ‘Droz’ Drozdov, who recently passed away at the age of 54 having spent decades confined to a wheelchair after accidentally being paralyzed during a match in October 1999, with the loss of Joesthetics making it a tough weekend for the star on a personal level.
