Even the FBI can’t help but gush over Taylor Swift, albeit in an incredibly cringy way

While you’re busy processing all the amazing new tracks and modified Taylor’s Versions from the new Speak Now release, the FBI would like to have a word about why you should report a federal crime if you know about one.

I know what you’re thinking — never in your Swiftie life would you have imagined hearing those words in that particular order, but it seems that even the FBI is now resorting to Taylor Swift references on social media.

Writing a quip-riddled message on Twitter alluding to numerous Speak Now songs like “Better Than Revenge” and “Superman,” the Federal Bureau of Investigation is asking you to submit a tip if you have information on a crime.

Not only that, they’re taking the cringe one step further by incorporating a list of “federal crimes” using Taylor’s marketing moniker for her re-recorded albums.

I bet when Taylor sang “Someone told his white collar crimes to the FBI” on the track “Vigilante Sh-t,” she didn’t assume — not in her wildest dreams — that the security agency would pick up on it. (Sorry, but it was right there.)

The release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) has sparked a lot of hype and debate in online circles. From Swifties already speculating about the next re-recording, to absolutely losing their cool over the new versions and even criticizing their savior over changing the lyrics, Taylor is maintaining an iron grip on the music industry and all the conversations that happen inside it.

I mean, don’t take our word for it. The songwriter is currently on her United States wing of The Eras Tour, which is already projected to become the highest-grossing tour in history.
