Gallner recently shared a picture of himself wielding a bow at a Renaissance fair, accompanied by a Twitter caption that alluded to the iconic DC superhero Green Arrow. As expected, the tweet and picture created an influx of comments, with numerous fans declaring that the talented actor would be the ideal choice for the role. While many fans likely had never considered the actor for the role, this tweet led many to believe that perhaps Gallner is the Green Arrow we’ve all been waiting for.

While some fans argue that Green Arrow has been overdone with numerous adaptations, the DC universe has yet to find an actor who truly captures the character’s essence in the cinematic universe. Stephen Amell’s portrayal in the series Arrow is undoubtedly the most iconic, overshadowing all other attempts at bringing the character to life. However, without Amell in the bidding race for the character, Gallner’s past experience might just be capable of ensuring the ideal actor for the James Gunn verse, especially considering his previous experience as the Flash.

In addition to his extensive horror repertoire, Gallner already has a taste of the superhero world, having played Barry Allen in Smallville back in 2001. The actor became a consistent presence in the Justice League-focused series from the fourth season onwards, establishing himself as the perfect actor to embody the headstrong superhero.

While Gallner’s tweet may have been a serendipitous wishful thought, fans can’t help but wonder if it provided a glimpse into a potential future, and we can’t help but keep our fingers crossed.
