We’d be doing Halle Berry an injustice to say that the Academy Award winner looks twice as good than most people half her age, but there’s always going to be at least one person out there who has an issue with a 56 year-old woman posting a nude image on social media.
Ageism has been running rampant in Hollywood since the advent of the moving picture, but it would appear that the sentiment has now spread onto social media, or at least in one solitary case. Despite racking up millions upon millions of views for what’s got to be one of the most artistic and tasteful wine-drinking instances of nakedness you’ll see on the internet, somebody thought it was a good idea to make a personal attack on Berry.
Clearly, the hater in question was blissfully unaware that the X-Men and John Wick veteran has gained an added layer of notoriety for her top-tier comebacks and generally chaotic Twitter presence, but there isn’t enough cold water in the world to soothe the burn laid down.
Outside of being directly taken to task by Berry, her fans and followers alike mobilized to burn the unfounded criticisms to the ground, not that anyone should have expected a different result. After all, anyone who looks like she does with 60 fast approaching is entirely justified in flaunting it for the world to see, not that an A-list star with over three decades of experience in the business has to offer an explanation to a solitary dweeb who took issue with her age.
