‘I ended up getting it backward’: Jennifer Lawrence clears up the rumors of her mom selling her toilet

This deserves an apology.

Jennifer Lawrence is loved for her eccentricities, but this one piece of shared information thatā€™s been going viral online cranks it up a notch.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lawrence cleared up a misunderstanding as she once thought that her mom was selling her toilet on Craigslist to The Office alum Lee Eisenberg, which she now confirmed is not the case. In fact, the 32-year-old actress confirmed that the opposite happened, and her mom bought Leeā€™s toilet instead.

ā€œI ended up getting it backward. My mom bought Lee’s toilet. When he clarified and was like, ‘None of this is true.’ I was like, ‘Well, it’s not.’ I literally just got confused about who bought or sold it.ā€

The misunderstanding began a while back when The Hunger Games star reached out to People complaining about her motherā€™s unexplained action, sparking curiosity as to why the decision to sell the toilet started in the first place. ā€œI donā€™t know. Iā€™m like, ā€˜I broke it.ā€™ My mom sold it for me,ā€ was her only response.

All confusion aside, this very incident with Craigslist bears affinity with the forthcoming release of No Hard Feelings helmed by Gene Stupnitsky and co-written by the victim of the event, Eisenberg himself.

The movie – which has Craigslist as the catalyst for its plot – features Lawrence playing a financially struggling woman who tries her luck by accepting a dating advertisement from the 19-year-old son of a wealthy family. The engaging plot – and most significantly Lawrence as a central character – has excited many fans, who by now are eagerly waiting its release June 23.
